On Tuesday, 10th September, 2013, the whole nation woke up to hear the chilling story told by the New Patriotic Party�s Greater Accra Regional Communications Director, Mr. Michael Kwabena Ampong. He tells a story about how a simple advice from him rolled heads in the party and nearly sent him into his early grave. Mr. Ampong had warned that it was needless for the NPP to focus on who becomes their flagbearer ahead of 2016 when there is urgent need to re-organize the party. Though the police service had acted swiftly and made some arrest, Mr. Ampong pleaded on OKAY FM that he still needed protection to survive once Lawyer Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie remains an influential figure in the NPP. His reason for blaming the General Secretary for the NPP, is that he masterminded the uncouth agenda to kill him. He described the NPP stalwart as one who reasons and acts like Idi Amin; believed to be one of the most callous men to have lived on earth. Mr. Ampong revealed that if there is one person in the party who is to be blamed for the NPP�s electoral defeat, then it is wrong to overlook Mr. Kwadwo Afriyie. He explains that during the heat of the election when issues had not yet been finalized, Mr. Owusu Afriyie, also known as Sir John was out there charging �NPP supporters to go to church and wave their handkerchiefs�. He promised not to subject himself to the dictatorship style Lawyer Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie had introduced into the NPP. �I won�t allow him to make me feel like a zombie�, he vowed.
