GES Bemoans Dwindling Reading Habits Among Students

The Director for Basic Education at the Ghana Education Service, GES, Stephen Adu, has bemoaned the dwindling reading habits among students. He has attributed the poor results at this year's B.E.C.E partly to the lack of adequate reading. Mr. Adu was speaking at the launch of the 2013-2014 Spelling Bee competition in Accra. According to him, Spelling Bee is an integral part of learning the English language. The Spelling Bee competition helps to nurture reading habits among children and also gives students the opportunity to experience the alternative methods of learning.
