A HEAVILY-PREGNANT young woman, Adizatu Iddrisu, has sadly passed away. Adizatu died days after she had been been subjected to severe beatings by her boyfriend, Bob Linking, who has since gone into hiding. The body of the victim, a renowned TZ seller at Bekwai, was found at the Bekwai Government Hospital�s morgue, where her man had secretly taken for safe keeping under the cover of darkness. Adizatu death occurred on Monday. Her boyfriend, the man behind his death, is known as Kwame Mensah, alias Bob Linking, a Unit Committee Chairman of Kokyerkrom, a suburb of Bekwai. According to Chief Supt. Akwasi Apraku Akomea, who confirmed the story, Adizatu had been in an abusive relationship with Bob for quite some time now. On one such occasion, his committee members had to intervene, but the victim refused to report the incident to the police. Chief Supt. Akwasi Apraku Akomea, told Daily Guide that the father of the victim had reported the matter to his outfit, and it was under investigation by personnel of the CID. The unit committee chairman explained that Ms. Adizatu Iddrisu was locked up in the room by the suspect after giving her cruel beatings and denying her any medical attention in spite of her pregnancy. This happened four days before Adizatu�s eventual death. Ms Adizatu had initially been reluctant to live together with Bob but the suspect convinced her to do so. Mr. Kankam Boadu asserted that he and other residents living near their home normally heard the woman �horrific� screams, but could not intervene because the man always locked the door. He indicated that Adizatu, who was due to give birth within days was found at the morgue of Bekwai Government Hospital with the body severely brutalised.
