Medeama Coach Van Der Pluijm Under Pressure To Quit After Poor Start

Medeama coach Hans Van Der Pluijm is under pressure from the fans after a very rough start to their 2013/2014 campaign. The Dutchman joined the Tarkwa club after leaving Berekum Chelsea at the end of last season and has so far failed to meet the expectations. The management of Medema were motivated to go for him because of their impending campaign in the Caf Confederations Cup but their poor start to their domestic campaign has left the fans frustrated. The Mauve and Yellows started their season by losing 3-0 to Kotoko in the Super Cup before drawing their first three matches in the league against Sekondi Hasacas, Bechem United and Berekum Chelsea. The reigning MTN FA Cup champions suffered their first league defeat at home to Heart of Lions on a 1-0 scoreline on Wednesday which leaves them 12th on the 16-team log. Fans of the club have already started mounting pressure on the management to get rid of Van Der Pluijm especially after the mid-week home defeat to his former side, Heart of Lions.
