Kojo Graham Shoots Himself In The Foot Confesses Engagement In Conflict Of Interest On TV

He appeared like a nerd, ready to proffer all the solutions to the myriad of problems bedeviling the National Lottery Authority (NLA); including cases of conflict of interest, and inside dealings by some board members of the authority but unknown to him, the bravado and dapper display was leading Kojo Graham to shoot himself in the foot. One of the many questions Kojo Graham failed to answer when he appeared on Metro TV last Tuesday October 1, 2013, in his bid to spew conscience soothing falsities as rebuttal to the series of expos by this paper was that, when the committee set up by NLA sponsored Board went to Nigeria where they found Skilrock, he could have allowed for a business relationship between the NLA and Skilrock without necessarily inserting Lots Services. Contrary what the chairman of the entity tender committee wanted Ghanaians to believe, that the lottery agency put together a 120 page document to the Public Procurement Authority (PPA), for the approval of Lots Services, this paper is reliably informed that the NLA did not put together a 120 page document rather, that document was put together by Mr. Kojo Graham and Shine Gbologah. Worst still, legal brains have posited that Mr. Grahams confession that is the solicitor for Lots Services-a company (Lots) that has contractual agreements with the lottery agency makes him culpable in any conflict of interest situation since his law firm also serves as the external solicitors to the NLA. On hindsight, a level 100 LLB student of the University of Ghana who wanted to remain anonymous told this reporter that, it was obvious that complacency made Mr. Graham, the lawyer, overlook the requirements of the GIPC Act, sections 19 and 22, because either he was hiding his interest and, as such, did not find it important to comply, or maybe it was his incompetence at play. Though Mr. Graham denied he owns Lots Services, the paper gathered that it is an open secret within the walls of the NLA, that Kojo Graham owns a majority stake in Lots- the 75% that is in the name of Synthetic Information Solutions LLC of the USA, which is represented by one Bijal Patel. Our findings revealed that Mr. Patel is a partner to the current Deputy Managing Director of Lots Services, whilst fingers also point at the Director of Sales as an alleged beneficiary of the largesse of Lots services. When this paper caught up with him on telephone after Kojo Grahams Metro TV interview for his comments, the former Director of IT at the NLA whom Mr. Graham had mentioned in his delivery on TV, (name withheld) declined comments, and only retorted, "Did you not read the man's body language that he was lying through his teeth? Meanwhile, this paper is still trying to secure an exclusive interview with him on all the issues, for it is being speculated that he was pushed out because he questioned some arrangements that he found unethical. So far, the multi-million question still hanging around the neck of the chairman of the entity tender committee is why was Mr. Graham silent on Meridian Cons. Ventures Ltd? On Edem, our findings revealed that, prior to his appointment at the National Lottery Authority; he handled minor computer repair works at the Law Office of Mr. Kojo Graham. The suspect who is now helping EOCO to investigate the fraud case also lived on a property at La Dadekotopon which is owned by Mr. Graham. The paper also gathered that Edem was only picked up by the EOCO after the President had ordered investigations into the matter based on the expos by the Metro TV. Another multi-million dollar puzzle begging for answers however is that The Database Administrator, prior to the fraud being uncovered, was sent on an all expense paid trip to cool off in a Dubai Hotel for a week under the guise of a training program. Was this a payoff for a job well done? Who is hiding behind this gentleman? Kojo Graham however, confirmed to Metro TV that Edem was living in his boys quarters at La Dadekotopon he helped him secure the job at NLA Stay tuned as like a dying horse, Kojo Graham has had his last kick and more exposs will follow in the coming weeks.
