Celebrated award-winning vocalist, Efya, made Ghana proud with a sensational performance at this year�s post-African Day Parade concert held in New York, United States (US).

The huge crowd that attended was captivated and held spellbound, as she belted out her hit songs �Life�, �Best in me� and the mega hit �Gateway�, drawing deafening and hilarious applause.
The event put on display African culture with participation from North, South, West, Central and East African countries.
The goal was to honour the accomplishments of Africans across the globe and commemorate the continent�s great leaders including Nelson Mandela, Kwame Nkrumah, Patrice Lumumba, Marcus Garvey and Dr. Martin Luther King.
Nigerian actor, model and twice golden glove heavyweight champion, Ngo Okafor, hosted the event, which was preceded by a press conference addressed by New York State Senator, Bill Perkins.
The concert also saw amazing presentation of talent that spans the Diaspora with amazing cultural performances by groups from Gambia, Togo, Senegal and Cote D�Ivoire, the beat of the drums and unscripted movement of the dancers whipped the crowd into frenzy.
Moroccan musician, Noredine, Matthey and Sekouba (Cote D�Ivoire), Idak Bassave (Burkina Faso), Ammy Coco (Togo), Sidiki Conte (Guinea) and Ghanaian-American Musician, Jay Ghartey, were the other top class artistes, on hand to perform.
