CLOGSAG To Strike On Monday

All members of the Civil and Local Government Staff Association of Ghana (CLOGSAG) have been instructed by the National Executive Council to lay down their tools on Monday. This will be in compliance with the notice served by CLOGSAGs National Executive Council asking its members to embark on a nationwide strike on October 14. The intended strike is largely due to their outstanding unpaid allowances which CLOGSSAG leadership has been battling with the National Labour Commission over the years. CLOGSAGs Director of Welfare and Projects, Mr. Benjamin Anyagre told Citi News no amount of persuasion will make them rescind their decision. According to him, all CLOGSAG members will from Monday lock up their offices and stay at home till their grievances are addressed. He said the expected labour unrest will be done in line with the Labour Act. We are not doing anything outside the Labour Act; we are acting and going according to the provisions of the Labour Act.
