Egypt Can't Stop Us From Going To Brazil 2014 - Otumfuo

The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II has stated that no team can stop the Black Stars from qualifying to the 2014 World Cup in Brazil. The Asantehene expressed his confidence in the team when they paid a courtesy call on him at the Manhyia Palace on Friday. The team was at the Palace ahead of the World Cup qualifier against Egypt. "You are selected to represent the country. There are many but you are the few who have been selected to defend us," said the Ashantehene. "From the President to the ordinary citizens, we are in your care. Our destiny is in your hands, this race is at the last hurdle and we must only beat it. Nobody can block us from our impending victory. Your skills are unique and that is why you have been brought together," he added. The Assantehene expressed hope in the teams ability to qualify the nation to the Brazil 2014 World Cup, urging them to unite for victory against the Pharoahs of Egypt on Tuesday. "We need unity for this great victory for Ghana. Use your last strength, your love and team spirit to make sure I can sleep peacefully on Tuesday." The team was accompanied by the management committee. Meanwhile, Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan has been passed fit for Tuesday's clash against Egypt. The Al-Ain captain limped off training on Thursday with a thigh strain but sources close to the team say the strain was not as serious as first suspected. Gyan is expected to train with the rest of the squad on Friday at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
