Black Stars Can Deliver Without Injured Players - Mensah

General Captain of the Black Stars John Mensah says Coach Akwasi Appiah has a solution to the teams defensive worries. The Black Stars head into next Tuesdays World Cup qualifier against Egypt with a number of key absentees. Defenders Isaac Vorsah, John Boye and Jonathan Mensah are all ruled out of the crucial game due to injuries. This has given the technical handlers a lot to worry about leading up to a game which is against one of the finest on the continent. There were calls for a shakeup in the teams defensive unit after the last group game against Zambia at the Baba Yara sports stadium, a game the Stars won 2-1 to qualify to the playoffs. I know Akwasi Appiah to be an experienced Coach and will therefore be prepared for such a situation. He has played the game before and knows what it involves the former Olympique Lyon defender told XYZ Sports in an interview. I am sure he had a plan B when he was even calling the 25 man squad for this game and was probably expecting any surprises in terms of last minute injuries which usually happen in football Mensah added I believe those who have been called up to command the defensive unit, will excel and make us all proud I am sure the senior players in the team will motivate them and make them feel comfortable. I am very confident in the team we have and I am sure the defenders will do their job at the back very well.
