Kwesi Appiah: Black Stars Not In Brazil Yet

The Black Stars coach has predicted a tough battle ahead as the four-time African champions face off with the north African giants in a World Cup play-off on Tuesday. Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah has confessed the two-leg ties ahead of him is a great deal of work, and until he is done with Egypt Ghanaians should never assume the Black Stars are already in Brazil 2014. He noted that the qualification process to the 2014 World Cup has been tough and with just two games left to scale to the global showpiece no opposition comes cheap. Speaking to the Ghana FA website, Appiah stated, That dream needs hard work and concentration. We have to get good results from every game we play in. It's one game at a time for us. We can't start talking about our place in Brazil. We are not there. We face a tough side over two legs and we need good results over both legs. He added: The most important thing to do will be to get things done the right way in terms of approach and get a decent result. The 52-year-old is optimistic his charges will make him proud on Tuesday as the Black Stars host the Pharaohs of Egypt in Kumasi in the first leg play-off. At the moment, we have been able to put our best players together and preparation is equally going well. With the team together and willing to give more than 100 per cent knowing what is at stake, we can be confident of a fine result, Appiah opined.
