President John Dramani Mahama has directed Finance Minister Seth Terkper to release funds for only important projects. According to him even though parliament has approved over five billion cedi worth of projects, government will not implement all. �� Make sure that the projects you are implementing are a priority; the name of this game under this government is prioritization.�� �We have about five billion worth of project approved by Parliament, but if you look at them not all are priorities .And so I told the minister of Finance to select only the priorities.�� Addressing some party Executives and District Chief Executives in Tamale, President Mahama asked the DCEs to implement projects that are on their priority list. �Do only the projects that are the priority of your district; we are doing the same at the national level,�� he said. President John Mahama also called on the party�s Constituency Executives to work with the District Chief Executives to promote the government�s interest in the constituency. �You must find a way to work together to further the interest of the government in the constituency or the district. All of you have the same objective; the objective is to show to the people in the district that their interest are best catered for.�� He also warned that the objectives of the constituency and district executives are the same.
