Ade Coker, Kweku Baako On Black Stars Victory Over Egypt

Former Vice Chairman of the Ghana Football Association, GFA, Joseph Ade Coker says some of the reasons which led to the downfall of the Pharaohs of Egypt during Tuesdays first leg of the 2014 World cup qualifier was the age of the players. According to him, the average age of the Egyptians team was about 30 years The Egyptian team is very old; the average age was about 30 years and so it was a tall order especially playing a team with an average age of 24 The Black Stars trounced Egypt 6:1 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium Tuesday; guaranteeing them a place in the 2014 World Cup in Brazil. As it is now, it is almost impossible for the Pharoahs to beat the record set by Ghana on November 19 in Egypt. Speaking to Kwami Sefa-Kayi on Peace FMs Kokrokoo, Ade Coker who is also the Greater Accra Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) described the Performance of the gallant Black Stars as vintage and added that it will be impossible for Egypt to defeat Ghana in their next encounter adding, our body and soul and legs are already in Brazil It was a vintage performance as a result of dedication and patriotism on the part of the players. Michael Essien was my man of the match; kudos to him. He has proven that he is well-experienced. I dont think it will be possible unless they go and bring other people from Mars, it will be impossible to beat Ghana he opined. Adding his voice to the discussion on the same platform, Editor of the New Crusading Guide newspaper, Abdul Malik Kweku Baako, said Tuesdays match was a rampant black stars on rampage He was also of the view that the Pharaohs cannot defeat the Black Stars even if they were hypnotized. It is not possible for us to go to Egypt to lose; it will take a miracle on huge proportionsThe choice for Baba Yara stadium to be used was also spot on, he added.
