Government To Set Up National Registry To Help Fight Cancer

Government is to set up a national cancer registry to compile statistics on the disease. Government will also train nurses at all levels of health delivery to be able to identify cancers. President John Dramani Mahama announced this when he joined the 2013 walk for the cure of breast cancer by Breast Cancer International, Ghana at the Accra Sports Stadium. He said the government is currently piloting vaccination of women against cervical cancer which will be replicated throughout the country.
