Twelve West African countries are in Ghana to exhibit goods and services at the 7th ECOWAS Trade Fair. The Minister of Trade and Industry, Haruna Iddrisu, who launched the fair, said Africa has no excuse to defer commitment to a deeper regional integration. He said Africa's quest for a common regional currency and market must be a priority engagement of governments. The Vice President of the ECOWAS Commission, Dr Toga Mcintosh, said exhibitors should go beyond buying and selling to engaging in discussion and networking aimed at improving trade in the sub-region.
