3 Notorious Armed Robbers Identified (PHOTO)

THREE OUT of nine suspects paraded by the Ashaiman District Police have been identified as notorious criminals involved in a series of robbery attacks in Ashaiman Municipality and its surrounding areas. The suspects were Yao Doudu, 20, resident of Ashaiman Newtown; Ernest Nyadzi, 29-year-old resident of Ashaiman Tulaku and Wakim Zakari, 22, Ashaiman Zongo resident. The suspects were identified by their victims during an identification parade by the Ashaiman District Police. Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Emmanuel Tetteh Yarkah, Ashaiman District Police Crime Officer explained to DAILY GUIDE that due to the prevailing reports of robbery attacks in Ashaiman and its environs by unknown assailants, the police decided to organise the identification parade. According to him, the parade followed the arrest of some suspects after special operations mounted by the Ashaiman Divisional Police Command recently. He said the identification procession was opened to the public to identify their attackers for the police to proceed with their prosecution. Yao Doudu who was said to have attacked four different persons with a cutlass and inflicted wounds on the one who identified him was being processed for court, immediately after the parade. ASP Yarkah expressed excitement about the voluntary manner in which victims came to the police station to point out their attackers. The District Police Crime Officer, therefore, asked the public to join hands with the police in the fight against armed robbery and all criminal activities �so we can make our society free of criminals.�
