Victoria Hammah's Driver Arrested Over Secret Tape Recording

The personal driver of former Deputy Minister of Communications, Victoria Hammah has been picked up by the police for allegedly recording her conversations secretly. Public Relations Officer of the Greater Accra Regional Police Command, DSP Freeman Tettey who confirmed the news to newsmen said a complaint was lodged by Ms Hammah that her driver, whose name was given as Lawrence, had secretly recorded her. President John Mahama relieved Ms Hammah of her post Friday, November 8, 2013. And although no reasons were given for her sack, it is believed that her dismissal is connection with a leaked tape, in which a voice purported to be that of the deputy minister is heard saying she would only leave politics when she has made $1m. According to DSP Freeman Tettey, a caution statement has been taken from the driver of Ms Hammah, adding that, there was the likely of granting him bail since no crime has been established against him yet.
