Alleged Kidnap of Victoria Hammahs Driver To Be Investigated

Police say they will soon commence investigations into reports that sacked Deputy Communications Minister's driver, Lawrence Quayeson, has been kidnapped. The driver who ran from home after allegedly receiving death threats was picked up by two unidentified men at his Dansoman hideout on Monday. The driver had secretly recorded Victoria Hammah's conversations which among other things described Deputy Gender, Children and Social Protection Minister, Rachel Appoh, as a "brainless, senseless, ugly, loud-mouthed, egoistic woman who needlessly fights her boss, Nana Oye Lithur. The driver confessed on Saturday that he was contracted by Ms. Rachel Appoh, to secretly record the Ministers conversations. Public Relations Officer at the Police headquarters DSP Freeman Tettey said the safety of Quayeson "is a matter of concern for everybody". DSP Tettey said the Police heard of Quayeson's kidnap in the media adding that no formal complaints have been lodged. But he added that the Police will be "following" the media reports.
