Drillship Saga: K.T Hammond Unperturbed About Any Form Of ProsecutionCharge Me Now He Says!!!

Former Deputy Energy Minister, Hon K.T Hammond, says notwithstanding the bad reportage concerning his role in the sale of the drillship, which is virtually killing his mother, he is unperturbed if prosecution action is taken against him. Hon. Hammond, was on the verge of tears as he tapered off his testimony before the judgment debt Commission, Monday, about the whereabouts of US$3.5Million of US$24Million realised from the sale of a drillship in 2001. US$19.5Million of the sale proceeds was used to pay off a judgment debt award slapped against the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC) in favour of French Bank Societe Generale by an English Court. US$900,000 was deposited into an escrow account to settle GNPCs indebtedness to some of its creditors and suppliers while US$100,000 was used to pay legal fees concerning the sale transaction. The missing US$3.5Million, according to K.T. Hammond and his former Boss, Albert Kan-Dapaah, was deposited into an account of the Government of Ghana at the Ghana International Bank in London on the orders of the then Acting High Commissioner, Chris Kpodo. Many are of a view that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament (MP) for Adansi Asokwa might face a jail sentence if found guilty of the missing US$3.5Million. But speaking on Asempa FM, Hon. KT Hammond without any anxiety said They should prosecute me within this short period, it should be today or tomorrow. I am not afraid of that one bit. Why must they wait to prosecute me in future?it should be now.
