Akufo-Addos Role In Sale Of Drill Ship Is Target Of EnquiryHe Should Accept Challenge Kweku Baako

The Editor-In-Chief of the New Crusading Guide, Kweku Baako Jnr, has called on Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo to accept the challenge and appear before the Sole Commission. So far, several people have appeared before the Commission and rendered their account of the sale. But a Pro-Government group, Inside Ghana, wants the Judgment Debt Commission to invite former President John Kufuor and former Attorney General Nana Akufo-Addo, to tell Ghanaians about their roles in the sale of a drillship in 2001. Our call stems from the testimonies given by the principal actors, Kan-Dapaah and K.T Hammond who seem to be hiding behind these two persons to withhold further information on the dubious sale which we believe would expose the coup mentality and the create, loot and share administration of ex-President Kufuor, Inside Ghana said in a statement. Speaking on Peace FM's flagship programme, Kokrokoo, Kweku Baako implored the 2012 Presidential candidate of the opposition NPP to honour any invitation from the Commission and set the record straight on the sale of the ship. Before Tsikata appeared, the way and manner; the drift of questions and everything showed that some people after realizing the substantive issue of the money they claimed was missing, now, they know that the money is not missing. They know that money was not squandered. They know. So, theyre now shifting, seeking refuge in perceived procedural lapses and so-called violations of statutes. Nana Akufo Addos role in this matter is actually the target of the enquiry. And indeed I think Nana should accept the challengeI would also encourage him to appear and deal with the issues. he said.
