Africa To Take Charge Of Their Own Security As France Promises To Train 20,000 African Soldiers Annually

The President of the French Republic, Francois Hollande has stated that France will soon send troops to the Central African Republic to help deal with the conflict in the region. He added that France has put in place effective mechanism to train about 20,000 African soldiers every year to increase the strength of security in the African sub-region. Francois Hollande also charged all African countries to take charge of their own security despite the external helps. He made this statement at the opening ceremony of the Elysee summit on peace and security in Africa in Paris-France. The meeting was attended by over 40 African heads of state.
