The magazine's January cover girl dishes about her romantic relationships with Russell Brand and John Mayer that inspired many of the tracks off Prism, which hit retailers back in October. Hot off the heels of her two Grammy nominations for "Roar," MTV News breaks down some of the biggest secrets Katy spilled in her Marie Claire sit-down. Her Secret Weapon? Often Perry is pitted against her female pop rivals. And whether or not there is any rivalry, the 29-year-old singer shared with the magazine what she thinks makes her roar differently from the rest of the pop pack. "I feel like my secret magic trick that separates me from a lot of my peers is the bravery to be vulnerable and truthful and honest. I think you become more relatable when you're vulnerable. When you try to market yourself like some supernatural figurine who can't be f---ed with, I always resort back to Scripture: Pride comes before a fall," she said.
