A GRAND NEPHEW of Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the Asantehene, was among scores of students who recently graduated at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in Kumasi.

The foundation of the venue nearly turned upside down when Nana Poku was called to receive his certificate from Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, who was comfortably seated on the podium.
There were wild shouts from all corners of the Great Hall at the KNUST when Nana Poku who was nicely dressed, walked majestically towards the King of Asante to receive his certificate.
Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, who seemed pleased with the academic prowess of his grand nephew, was seen beaming with smiles as he shook hands with Nana Poku, who was equally delighted.
The Manhyia Palace horn blowers, who were in Otumfuo�s retinue, blew some traditional horns as Nana Poku exchanged pleasantries with Otumfuo, to signify that a great person was shaking hands with the King.
Nana Poku excitedly waved at the huge crowd, as some shouted out his name while he proceeded to take his seat.
