Divisions Won't Tear NPP Apart - Fred Oware

First Vice Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Fred Oware says the internal wrangling and problems that the party is experiencing will not tear the party apart. Indeed there are some issues that the party has to deal with but I don't think it is tearing the party apart, Mr. Oware maintained. Media reports indicate that the election of the NPP's constituency executives across the country was not without confusion. Some have attributed the confusion to the jostle for positions in the party. But speaking on the Citi Breakfast Show, Mr. Oware said those media reports were not a true representation of how the elections generally went. "We would have wished that we did not have these problems but the fact that the elections were halted in about three or four out of 43 constituencies due to some problems perhaps is not a justification that there is a huge problem in the party, Mr. Oware emphasized. Explaining why the elections were postponed in some constituencies, he noted that in the Northern region, the elections were not held because there were some religious activities going on.
