"Time Management, Key In Life" Bishop

Bishop Dr Emmanuel Yeboah Mensah, Founder and President of the Shepherd Ministerial Institute at Ashaiman has urged Ghanaians to guard and manage their time profitably. Quoting Ecclesiastes chapter 3: 1-2, he said time was a precious treasurer and most important gift that God had given to mankind. Bishop Dr Mensah who gave the advice at a farewell service organized for him by the Institute at Ashaiman on Saturday said; time is irreversible and irreplaceable. Wasted time is a wasted life. The occasion was also used to ordain 28 ministers and pastors. He noted that time well accounted for was a life well spent and that many Ghanaians spent their time each day aimlessly or almost unconsciously without direction, goals, or purpose. We tend to take things the way they come to us. We do not attempt to control our lives or plan the way we should use our time. Some people do not even make their own decisions. They allow others to control their time and plan what they should do or not, he said. Bishop Dr Mensah said one was regarded free if one could not take charge of his or her time and destiny in the light of Gods will, as a concept of effective time management in ones life. Ghanaians should realize the scarcity and importance of time. If our time is cheap, then we are living below the God-given potential. Why do some people get so much accomplished and leave behind great achievements while others pass unnoticed after their lifetime? It was due to how they managed their time." Bishop Dr Mensah expressed gratitude to the Shepherd Ministerial Institute Council, the lecturers and all who contributed in various ways during his pastoral years and encouraged them not to give up in their call to win souls for Christ.
