Christians Should Learn To Give

Christians should use the Christmas period to draw closer to members of their communities through care and gift offering. Though it was good to share gifts to loved ones during the Yuletide, giving to those that you do not expect anything back from, or those in need in your community, Pastor Shadrack A. Tetteh, Pastor-in-charge of the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC), Kpone Worship Centre, said. In a Christmas sermon, he said the offering of gifts is at the heart of Christmas, because God offered mankind what we did not deserve. According to him, just as God gave to man the greatest gift, which is Christ, giving must be a priority at Christmas. He indicated that ICGC nationwide uses the period to identify the needs of their host communities and contribute to solve some of their problems or needs. He encouraged parents to use the period to unearth the talents of their children by giving them gifts that would help in their intellectual development. The congregation prayed for the nation and children, among others, and also danced to Christmas Carols.
