Tragedy visited a young couple in the Gaithersburg area when fire destroyed their home and took along with it their four year old son, Lancelot Nii Armah Quarshie. This sad incident happened on Wednesday January 8 2014 at about 4:pm when fire broke out in one of the units of the Cider Mills apartment complex Mr. Samuel Quarshie (Lester) who was then taking a nap with his two kids woke too late to rescue one of them. Unfortunately he could not go back into the apartment to rescue his son because of the thick black smoke emanating from the room.
