The National Petroleum Authority (NPA) has revised upwards the prices of petroleum products with effect from today Thursday, 16 January 2014. The price of petrol has been increased by over 6 percent. It sells at 233.00 pesewas per litre. Kerosene saw the highest increase of over 19 percent and Liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) is also gone up by 8.73 percent. The current ex-pump price for Gas oil is 226 pesewas a litre, the new price will now be 242 pesewas per litre. Premix fuel, however, saw no change in price. It will still sell at 116.00 pesewas a litre.
