Diamond In Trouble Over New Single

Sexy Afro pop singer Diamond Appiah has once again unleashed onto the music market, a controversial song titled, �Fylla In Town� which makes an assessment of the Ghanaian showbiz scene and activities of certain celebrities last year. The song which has not gone down well with the celebrities whose names were mentioned in it has also drawn heated public debates and discussions on several social media platforms. The song touched on several major happenings in the industry last year, including the relationship between Captain Planet of 4X4 music group and Uche Ofodile, chief marketing officer of Vodafone Ghana. Some of the names of the celebrities mentioned in the song included Peace FM's "Entertainment Review" host Kwasi Aboagye, Confidence Haugen, chief executive officer of Aphrodisiac Night Club, Eazzy, Herty Borngreat, Sarkodie and John Dumelo. According to sources some of the celebrities whose names and activities were mentioned in the song have sent Diamond text messages threatening to drag her to court if she fails to withdraw the song from the market. Diamond, said in an interview that the song is a review of Ghana�s entertainment industry last year and is not directed at anyone. �It is a commentary or a review of what happens in the industry. It is not directed at anybody in particular. It�s just a song for the industry,� she said. She confirmed having received a number of text messages from some of her colleagues condemning her for coming out with such a song but added that �nobody has called to complain about the song. I did not insult anybody.� The songstress who sees herself as a fashion goddess started doing music in 2006, and is currently busy in the studio working on her album to hit the airwaves later this year. Some of her hit songs include �Diva of all Divas�, �Kaafe Dull� and �The Game�. She is an actress too; a zone she ventured into by accident in 2004. She has appeared in productions such as �Home Sweet Home� and �Run Baby Run�. Her last role was in �Crystal Bay� in 2011. She recently returned from Nigeria after shooting her yet to be released movie.
