Respect Komla Dumor�s Memory

The Managing Editor of the Daily Searchlight, Kenneth Kuranchie has called on the entire nation to pay "respect to the memory" of the late Komla Afeke Dumor. Expressing his condolence to the family of the late Komla Afeke Dumor in an interview with Radio Gold, Ken Kuranchie noted that his (Komla Dumor) demise came as a 'terrible surprise' to the country but lauded him for lifting Ghana's image high. �It has all come as a great surprise, a terrible surprise to the people of this country.� To him, the State should recognize his relentless efforts in the field of journalism and his hard work which elevated him to the pinnacle of success. BBC TV presenter Komla Dumor died on Saturday at his home in London at the age of 41. He suffered a cardiac arrest. Ghana-born ace journalist was a presenter for BBC World News and its Focus on Africa programme. He joined the BBC family as a radio broadcaster in 2007 after a decade of flawless journalism in Ghana.
