Second Round Of League Begins Feb. 5

The Premier League Board (PLB) has fixed Wednesday February 5, as commencement date for the second round of the Ghana Premiership. All eight centres according to a source at the PLB will engaged in midweek action on the resumption day. The league went on break after the week-15 fixtures on December 15, to give the local Blacl Stars enough preparation time ahead of the Championship of African Nations (CHAN) tournament underway in South Africa. The PLB initially penciled Sunday, February 9, as resumption date but was compelled to push it four days forward as a result of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) inter-clubs engagement involving four Ghanaian clubs. Asante Kotoko finished the first round of the 2013/2014 campaign scheduled to end on May 18 with a seven-point lead. The super clash of the round between Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko is billed for the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday May 11.
