I Want To Live And Die Like Mandela Duncan Williams

The Archbishop of the Action Faith Ministries, Nicholas Duncan Williams says he hopes to live as old as late South African President, Nelson Mandela, and depart the earth in triumph. I want to be like him when I am old and gray-haired; that is the way I want to go, its a good way to go. I must say God will grant me my desire." Describing Madibas death as a "triumph departure", the Archbishop said the late South African president showed the world how to forgive and reconcile. He taught us how to forgive and he lived it, he demonstrated it, he added. Archbishop Duncan Williams said this at a special memorial service in honour of the late President Nelson Mandela, organized by the South African High Commission at the Action Chapel in Accra. He also called on African leaders and political leaders in the country not to use power for vindictiveness. The service was attended by Former President Rawlings, President John Mahama, South African High Commissioner to Ghana, as well as some Ministers of State. Touching more on the life of the late South African Leader, Archbishop Duncan Williams called on all to learn from the forgiving spirit of Mandela. He said if African leaders will learn to use power for the good of humanity and not for vengeance, Africa would be the winner. On his part, President John Dramani Mahama admonished Ghanaians not to only eulogize Nelson Mandela, but also emulate his life.
