Ghana vs Nigeria: Its 50-50 Odartey Lamptey

The Local Black Stars and the home-based side of the Super Eagles square off in an all-west African last four tie today in the CHAN and the ex-Ghana player says it is a tough call. Former Ghana international Nii Odartey Lamptey believes the semi-final clash between Nigeria and the Black Stars is everyones game. The former PSV midfielder lamented that it is sad the two west African powerhouses are meeting at this stage of the African Nations Championship today because they are cut for the final. I think both sides should have met in the final, not before. Its going to be a final before the final. Any team that wins on Wednesday will win the competition, Lamptey told Brila FM. Its going to be 50-50 for both sides. I consider myself to be a Nigerian and a Ghanaian so my love is for both of them As a Ghanaian, I believe the Black Stars have a 50 per cent chance to beat the Super Eagles, but its not going to be easy. He added: Everybody is excited in Accra about the match, but some are complaining that Ghana are not presenting the best players at the tournament. It is when the game is over that well know which team is better.
