Ghana Arrive In Cape Town For CHAN Final

Ghana's Africa Nations Championship squad arrive in Cape Town, buoyed on for Saturday's finals. Maxwell Konadu led his squad off the plane which touched down Thursday morning from Bloemfontein, just a day after they defeated Nigeria 4-1 on penalties in the last-four fixture which traveled 120 without any goals. Ghana will now take on the Libya in the grand finale to be played on Saturday February 1 at the Cape Town Stadium in South Africa. Konadu says his team will miss the atmosphere in Bloemfontein, where he describes as 'home'. "Playing away from Bloemfontein, which has become our home, will have some impact on us when we play Libya in the final in Cape Town," Konadu said. "The people in Mangaung have been behind us and we will miss them in the final but we still intend to do well against Libya, a good side which we know something about." It will be Ghana's seconds appearance in the finals of the tournament while the Mediterranean Knights make their debut in the final. The two sides will be meeting for the second time in this year's tournament after drawing 1-1 during their group stage clash.
