Smoking And Alcoholism Ruin Life - Pastor Cautions Youth

Pastor Boachie-Ansah of the Pentecost Church at Kofisah, near Nsawam-Adoagyiri, has cautioned the youth to refrain from smoking and alcoholism that could ruin their lives. He said they should rather abide by the words of God to become responsible adults to help in the development of the nation. Pastor Boachie-Ansah gave the advice in a briefing with the Ghana News Agency at the launch of a fund-raising for the construction of a permanent church building at Kofisah. He said so far 6,000 Ghana cedis had been raised, while some members had also made some pledges towards the project, which is estimated to cost 50,000 Ghana cedis. Pastor Boachie-Ansah said the project would be supported with communal labour by members and self-help voluntary contributions from the congregation. He later prayed for the nation for peace and harmony to prevail among the people. Elder Emmanuel Bekoe also said currently, the congregation was undertaking its activities under a temporal shed and expressed the hope that when the project was completed it would uplift the spirit of members to win more souls for God, especially the youth who were confronted with negative vices.
