TUC Calls For Reconvening Of National Tripartite Committee

The Ghana Trades Union Congress has called for the reconvening of the National Tripartite Committee as soon as possible to adjust wages upwards to cushion workers against the current economic hardships. It's Secretary General, Kofi Asamoah who said this in an interview with Radio Ghana said government as a matter of urgency must without delay adjust the minimum wage to make life comfortable for workers in the wake of petrol price increases. He said that once consultation on the national minimum wage is completed, negotiations for the review of the base pay and relativity on the Single Spine Salary Structure would commence.
