A suspected armed robber was shot dead by residents of Down Town, near Kasoa on Sunday. Seven wedding rings were found on �No One�, 32, described by the police as notorious. The Kasoa District Police Commander, Superintendent Samuel Punobyin, told The Ghanaian Times here yesterday that on February 16, at about 6 p.m., the deceased, dressed in a black �T� shirt over black jeans, was found dead with gunshot wounds, and a locally manufactured pistol by his side. A victim of a previous night�s robbery, identified him as one of the armed robbers who attacked and robbed him of his personal effects. Supt. Punobyin said the seven wedding rings found in the deceased�s pocket have been identified by the owners. The body has been deposited at the Police Hospital, Accra, for autopsy.
