It was all grief, solemnity and sorrow, when President John Dramani Mahama joined families, mourners and sympathizes to pay their last respect to the late Komla Afeke Dumor at the forecourt of the State House.
Clad in black and white, the hundreds of mourners made up of Journalists, politicians, members of the Diplomatic Corps and traditional authorities, all demonstrated their regret and sorrow when they filed pass the body of Komla to bid him their final respect.
Accompanied by Mr Prosper Douglas Bani. Chief of Staff, President Mahama also in the black and white funeral cloth that spotted the signature of the deceased, witnessed the final church service by the Catholic Church.
Mr Mahama Ayariga, Minister of Information and Media Relations read a tribute on behalf of President John Dramani Mahama and the government of Ghana while Professor Dumor, father of Komla, read one on behalf of the family.
Admittedly, the church service that was organised by the Catholic Church also attracted members of other Christian denominations and other religious bodies in the country.
Komla Dumor, who previously worked for Joy FM in Accra and the British Broadcasting Corporation BBC, died on January 18 and would be buried later this afternoon.
The late Dumor, who died in his London home, over a month ago, would forever be remembered for his flair exhibited especially during his presentation of the Focus on Africa programme.
He left behind a widow; Kwansema Dumor and three children.
