66th Anniversary Of 28th February Crossing Road Shooting Incident Being Marked Today

Ghana marks 66th anniversary of 28th February Christiansborg Crossroad shooting incident. The day is in memory of three gallant ex-servicemen, Sergeant Adjetey, Corporal Attipoe, and Private Odartey-Lamptey, who lost their lives on Saturday, 28th February 1948 at the junction of the Osu Christiansborg Castle. The Ex Service men did their part, now is the time for all of us to defend our independence and contribute our might to make our nation great and strong. Ghana's independence history cannot be told without a recall of 28th February crossroad shooting incident in 1948. The gallant ex service men were unanimous in their disappointment against the British Colonial Masters. Three of them were callously killed at the cross road to break their resolve. Meanwhile a wreath laying ceremony will take place at the Independence Square.
