The Western Regional police commander DCOP Isaac Alex Quainoe has ordered the family of the late referee Kyei Andoh to delay the burial of the body pending completion of autopsy, Ghanasportsonline.com can reveal.
According to reports the family of the late referee had originally planned to bury the body on Saturday March 15, but the Western Regional Police command ordered the family to wait for autopsy reports before burying the body. The move is aimed at facilitating police investigations.
�The police commander in the Western Region asked the family to hold on with the burial arrangement. This was after the family had informed the Regional Football Association executive committee of their plans.
�The Western Regional Police Commander was surprised to have heard the news because the police was not informed to provide security for the match in question that resulted in the death of the young referee.�

Referee Andoh officiated a division Two League game between Najoe United and Gold Stars which ended 2-1 in favour of the away team, Gold Stars. He was beaten to death for allegedly awarding a last-minute penalty to the away team.
