KATH Missing Baby Saga: CEO Still At Post

The Ministry of Health is yet to send an official letter to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) asking him to proceed on leave. The Ministry earlier this week ordered the CEO, Professor Ohene Adjei to proceed on leave after his outfit failed to produce the babies who went missing at the facility after a 14-day ultimatum. Citi News has gathered the CEO is still at post but the Public Relations Officer at the Health Ministry, Tony Goodman has explained that he is still at post because an official letter is yet to sent. He said: Administratively, we need to send a letter to them to be able to take that action but in the meantime; he will be preparing to quickly hand overthe letter will only go to confirm what we have already said. The Minister has also directed that the hospitals board to appoint a senior person in management to act in the CEOs stead. Meanwhile, the hospitals Board is expected to meet on the way forward upon receipt of the official communication from the Ministry.
