NPP National Executive Elections: It Will Be An All Die Be Die Situation In Tamale If - Aspirant

The infamous All-die-be-die mantra which was used in the run-up to the 2012 elections appears to have been buried by the dignified conduct of Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and the NPP after the landmark election petition trial. But it seems the mantra syndrome still flows through the vein of some individuals within the elephant fraternity. Micheal Ampong, an aspiring National Youth Organizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has issued a strong warning to the some leadership of his party and his fellow contender, Sammy Awuku that any attempt to rig the position which he is vying for in the upcoming NPP National Executive congress in Tamale will be gory. Ampong is accusing Sammy Awuku of some malpractices which is affecting his campaign tour in the Eastern Region and his chance of winning the position. This he said is orchestrated by some leadership of the party who by all means wants Sammy Awuku to win the Youth Organizer position. According to him, Sammy Awuku was the architect behind his inability to meet NPP delegates in the Eastern Region when all the national youth aspirants went to interact with them. I travelled all the way from the Northern Region to Koforidua just to grace the meeting. The amount of money I usedno one sponsored me in my campaign and I dont receive funds from the NDC as well as he is doing. I used my own money. How can he (Sammy Awuku) hijack the program because he has finished talking to the delegates? This shouldnt happen. We want to go to Tamale to elect a youth leader of substance who has a credible character and is prepared to work on the ground, he said. The incident which happened in Koforidua has compelled Mr. Ampong also known as Gyagbele (Except Death) to send a strong signal to the party leadership who are behind Sammy Awuku to be open minded and fair during the upcoming election. I dont fear anyoneI am putting my blood on the line, I am putting my life and soul on the line. I dont fear anyone in the party (NPP). Those small boys (referring to Sammy Awuku) want to make money out of this party they are joking. They should buy all the media and political show hostsbut we will fight with our blood, he said. In an interview with OKAY FM during the stations afternoon political show, GHANA DECIDES, Ampong threatened that Those leaders in the party who think they can sit in their homes and dictate, I wont to assure them that, Tamale will be fireworksif they know what is going to happen, they shouldnt try it. They should never think the NPP belongs to themif they attempt to rig, I will face anybody with my blood and I am prepared to do that. I am very serious about this thing. I dont wear skirt, I wear trousers. All- die- be-die, he screamed.
