Sammi Awuku Receives Massive Endorsement

SAMMI AWUKUS hopes of becoming the next National Youth Organizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has been given a lifeline in the Ashanti region, the stronghold of the NPP. This follows the decision of hundreds of NPP delegates to openly declare their unflinching support for the energetic and hardworking politician, barely a week before the party goes to polls. At a party meeting held in Kumasi over the weekend, the NPP delegates, without mincing words, stated that they would vote massively for Sammi Awuku during the partys elections at Tamale on Saturday. The NPP delegates cited Sammi Awukus countless sacrifices for the party, including being the target of accidents and being arrested by the police, because of his strong love for the NPP, just to mention a few. They, therefore, stated emphatically that they would use the Tamale congress of the party to honour the young man for his sacrifices for the NPP, by voting massively for him to become the NPP National Youth Organizer. The NPP delegates, including the constituency youth organizers and their deputies, as well as TESCON presidents, even urged Sammi Awuku not to waste his time addressing them, because they have decided to vote for him already. Top NPP stalwarts such as Hon. Kwabena Kokofu, MP for Bantama, Mr. Amankwa Manu, ex-NPP Chairman for Atwima Nwabiagya and an aide to Nana Akufo Addo and Stephen Amoah aka Sticker were at the meeting to also endorse Sammi Awuku. Sammi Awuku, who was accompanied to the meeting by Nana Bee, ex-KNUST TESCON president and Jerry Osei-Poku, Eastern Regional Youth Organizer of the NPP, nearly shed tears, following the strong love which was displayed to him by the NPP delegates. Filled with emotion, Sammi Awuku in his brief remarks stated that he would work tirelessly so that the partys youth wing would be resourced to make them vibrant and contribute their quota towards the NPPs advancement. He said as the National Youth Organizer of the NPP, he would ensure that the partys youth wing would campaign separately for the party, during the 2016 polls, stating that the days when the partys youth were relegated to the background were over. Sammi Awuku assured that he would exhibit bold, courageous and decisive leadership, stressing that his prime motive for contesting for the high seat was to help the NPP win power in 2016. There were wild shouts all over the room as the charged NPP members chanted Sammi Awukus name. The crowd then started singing victory songs amid the display of the NPP colours, as Sammi Awuku watched with admiration. In his short address, Hon. Kwabena Kokofu, the Bantama MP, said Sammi Awuku represented the best bet for the NPP youth, charging the partys delegates to vote massively for him. According to him, Sammi Awuku has a track record of always delivering whenever he is called upon by the NPP, stressing that with such a caliber of person as the NPP Youth Organizer, the party was assured of more votes in 2016.
