Patronizing Made In Ghana Goods?...Apostle Safo Needs Govt Support

Member of Parliament for Mpraeso, Hon. Seth Acheampong has called on government to prioritize the technological innovations of Apostle Kwadwo Safo, Founder and Leader of Kristo Asafo Mission of Ghana. Hon. Seth Acheampong appealed to the Government of Ghana to put measures in place to harness the exceptional prowess of Apostle Kwadwo Safo. According to him, one sign of honouring the calls from President John Mahama that Ghanaians should patronize made-in Ghana goods is when local manufacturers are encouraged. Apostle Kwadwo Safo has for the past decade been exhibiting his inventions and hopes to gain government's recognition to advance his inventions on a full scale. His inventions range from cars, armour vehicles, refrigerators to televisions among others. Some items exhibited by him include a saloon car without an engine with inscription "Katanka Odeneho", television sets which can be switched on by means of a clap, cross-country vehicles which are ignited by wearing a special suit and wrist watches, and so forth. Apostle Safo's extraordinary technological inventions seems to have failed to attract the attention of government. Speaking on U TV on "Adekye Nsroma", Hon. Seth Acheampong was of the view that Apostle Safo has since demonstrated his competence and technical know-how, and so, deserves to be assisted. He stressed that in China, the Chinese have developed huge interest in their local products and are supported by the systems in the country. They tend to invent things because of the assistance they get from their leaders, he said. He bemoaned the lackadaisical attitudes which the country's leaders display towards Ghanaians who utilize their technological capabilities to help transform the economy. Hon. Acheampong touted Apostle Safo as the "nation's good son who must be helped."
