NPP Delegates IndecisiveThey Changed Their Minds On Eve Of Confab

A leading member of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) has revealed that the defeat suffered by some aspirants at the just gone-by National Delegates Conference was as a result of the indecision of some delegates. Asamoah Gyamfi claims the confused state of the delegates was openly display when they (delegates) decided to change the earlier plan to vote for certain candidates on the eve of the conference. Commenting on the shocking results of the polls, Asamoah Gyamfi posited on Ghana Decides program on Okay Fm that the delegates decided not to listen to anybody anymore and instead voted according to their conscience. The delegates were confused because when they set out to come, they were told to vote in a certain direction but on that day information reached the delegates again that they should instead vote for another set of aspirants and that brought the confusion; the delegates therefore decided not to listen to anybody anymore but vote according to who they felt could best deliver.the delegates came with an informed mind but on the eve of the conference (Friday night), their minds changed, he asserted. He dismissed suggestions that the new crop of executives belong to the Alan Kyerematen camp, saying irrespective of the camp the executives might belong to, they are part of the NPP fraternity elected by the party delegates and not by anybodys camp. the big task ahead of the party is winning 2016 elections and not the issue of whose candidates won a particular position in the just ended delegates conferenceevery loyal member of the party who wants power must resourcefully support the party, he added.
