Agitations At Teachers' Front Is Drawback To National Development

The Dean of Faculty of Arts of the University of Cape Coast, Professor Dora Edu-Buandoh, says agitations at the teachers� front at all levels of education could be a drawback to the country's manpower needs and development. She said the nation needs to sustain quality education for the younger generation by ensuring that the classroom teacher is considered a versatile key stakeholder in the development of the nation. Professor Edu-Buandoh said this at the seventh congregation of two batches of graduates comprising regular diploma and the Untrained Teacher Diploma in Basic Education of the Saint Teresa's College of Education at Hohoe.
