A second drug dealer has been jailed in England, in less than three months, after a 31-Year-old Ghanaian, Kwame Gyanfi was jailed, after police discovered two kilograms of heroin during a raid at an address in Croydon in London. In the new case, Osei Kuffour, 25 of Dock Road, Tilbury, Essex, was sentenced to 26 years imprisonment for possession of narcotic drugs and attempted murder of a lady, who he shot in the head with a revolver hand gun. On count two, he was sentenced to seven years for possessing a prohibited weapon and on count three, he was sentenced to two years for possessing ammunition and three years four months, for possessing with intent to supply crack cocaine. On count five, he was sentenced to three years four months, for possessing with intent to supply Class A drugs. Kuffour was sentenced last week Wednesday, June 4, at the Old Bailey. All sentences are to run concurrently. Osei Kuffour and Kwame Gyanfi�s imprisonments, came shortly after the arrest of two other Ghanaians; David Kojo Anim and Ebenezer Kofi Antwi Nkansah at Heathrow Airport in London for narcotic drug traffic offences and money laundering. The two were arrested on April 26 and April 27, 2014, respectively. On the morning of December 11, 2012, the 36-year-old victim, met with her regular drug dealer �Sam� at her home address in Newham. �Sam� entered the venue and met with the victim on the ground floor. After a brief exchange of words, �Sam� produced a revolver hand gun and at a distance of no more than a metre, shot the victim in the face. The bullet entered her face and lodged behind her cheek bone. Newham�s Firearms and Gangs Unit responded to the emergency call and together with an armed response unit attended to the scene. As a result of the shooting, the victim sustained serious injuries and was taken to a London hospital, where she underwent emergency surgery. On the same day, a proactive operation was conducted and Kuffour was arrested. He was found to be in possession of a large quantity of money and Class A drugs were found between his buttocks. Further enquiries saw the recovery of the firearm used in the shooting. He was subsequently charged. A trial started at the Old Bailey on Tuesday, April 22, 2014. On Thursday, May 1, the jury retired to consider their verdict. Kuffour was found guilty on all counts. As a result of her injuries, the victim underwent months of medical treatment and major surgery to restore her bone structure. Detective Inspector Dave Coxell, from Newham�s Firearms and Gangs unit, said: �Osei Kuffour viciously and deliberately attacked a vulnerable woman in broad daylight outside her home in E16, with every intention of ending her life in a callous and violent manner. �It is only to the victim�s credit that she has recovered to the extent that she has, and was able to bravely give evidence against her attacker. I would like to thank my Newham Firearms & Gangs Unit who has worked unceasingly to bring this violent offender to justice. �My team work tirelessly to tackle gang related violence and gun crime in Newham, and I�d like to take this chance to warn anyone who is considering breaking the law to think twice about the consequences you will bring on yourself. �This lengthy sentence of Osei Kuffour sends a clear and powerful message to everyone concerned in drugs and gun crime that we will find you, prosecute you and we will put you in prison.� Law officers, entered Gyanfi�s property, where they discovered a further kilogram of heroin, approximately 250 grams of crack cocaine, as well as other items and drugs paraphernalia, including 27.5kg of cutting agents. After consulting independent experts, the streets value of the drugs seized was estimated at approximately 150,000 euro.
