GCB Sponsors 38 To Brazil

Ghana Commercial Bank, the leading Bank in the country has sponsored 38 customers including eight staff members to watch the World Cup in Brazil as part of its pledge to increase the support base of the Ghana Black Stars. The draw, which was conducted in partnership with the National Lottery Authority, saw 30 customers from across the regions being selected, as well as other winners who were awarded consolation prizes including LED TV sets, replica jerseys and branded footballs. Three other staff members won the draw with five appointed staffs whose role is to cater for the winners whiles away. The lucky 38 were presented with their tickets at the Banks Headquarters in Accra and were educated about the travelling plans. As part of the package, GCB will process all traveling documents including visas, tickets, accommodation as well as flight to and from Brazil and meals three times daily. Doris Wunu Head of Consumer Banking said, the campaign dubbed 'GCB 30 to Brazil' promotion was aimed at sending 30 customers to the Mundial to increase the support base and showcase the potential of Brand Ghana to the world as an emerging market with opportunities for investment. She added that, it was important for the Bank to reward its customers who stood with them in the challenging times and to make the Bank visible in the Banking industry. �The GCB 30 To Brazil promotion is aimed at sending Ghanaians to Brazil to support the national team, showcase the potential of made in Ghana products and services and Ghana as a brand to the world, demonstrate to the rest of the world that Ghana is an emerging market with opportunities for investment and to award its faithful customers�. She expressed strong confidence in the Black Stars, though they are in a tough group, adding that, �it was based on the confidence the bank has in the team to perform creditably in Brazil that the bank decided once again to support Ghana�s participation at the World Cup.�
