Bring Your Talents To Develop The Country Apostle Safo Charges Youth

THE FOUNDER of Kristo Asafo Mission of Ghana, Apostle Dr. Kwadwo Safo has charged the youth of the country to help him raise the true Ghanaian spirit up for the development of the country as far as talents within them are concerned. According to him, Ghanaians are not poor as speculated by some people. We are not poor as people from other countries say, I think when we come together to do something for our country, other people from other countries would emulate us. Apostle Safo made these revelations when he had an encounter with the press to provide an update on the progress made for the vehicle assembling plant at his Technology Centre at Gomoa Mpota in the Central region. The forum was also to enlighten the press to have firsthand insight into preparations made so far for the Annual Technology Exhibition slated for December this year and some of the exhibits to be displayed. He noted that it is now time to work on his 60 acres of land which he started working on since 1982 and will start working on different types of traditional medicines, adding that together with his team they will be fixing more cars in future. He, however, asked Ghanaians not to concentrate too much on politics, but how to develop the country with visionaries by calling on those with true talents to come and support him in his work. Apostle Safo, therefore, asked for prayers from Ghanaians so as to live long and work for mother Ghana. Kantanka Automobile Company Ltd The media visited the assembly plant where the cars are being assembled before they are brought out for sale. Some text engineers who took the press through the various stages at the assembly plant explained the processes involved before a car is developed. The first stage was at the welding of the cars followed by the Mig machine where the paintings and other processes are done. Also, the next stage was the coating line where the vehicles would also go through checks and balances before they are finally taken to the end product. The Public Relations Officer of the Kantanka Automobile Company Ltd, Kwame Bempah Osei Hwere said they are able to make 10 to 14 cars a day, as well as 80 to 120 cars in a month, but believed that by November this year their target would be set for the up coming exhibition. Currently we are employing 350 workers and hope to get 500 to 700 people to help us in the near future, he added. He cleared the perception that most people believe that Kantanka cars were done manually and are not up to standard. According to him, DVLA has been here, as well as the Ghana Standard Authority and they have taken them through all the technical procedures and they have given us the green light and the certification that the cars are up to standards. When car manufacturing started there was no central locking system, now we have central locking system where some of the keys are keyless, can they also say that those cars were also not up to standard? Those ones we were doing are manual and I can assure you that we are up to standard, he cried. Engineers on the job Some engineers who always come to check on progress of work were also at the function to testify about the quality of cars they are working on. According to the President of the Institution of Engineering and Technology, Rev. Eng. Eric Ankrah, with the support from government, they will support Apostle Safo and give him accreditation to train more people, especially, people from vocational institutions. Apostle Safos work is in line with the competency program by the government introduced in 2006 and as such we will support him through skilled development fund to help him train more people. We as engineers will also support in our own way by visiting the Assembly plant from day to day and making normal checks before they are used as final product, he revealed. The forum which was held at his Technology Centre at Gomoa Mpota brought together members from the Kristo Asafo Mission of Ghana, as well as some residents of the region.
