Fuel Supply Resumed � NPA

Fuel supply from all major depots in the country have resumed with supplies being hauled by trucks to various retail outlets throughout the country. On Saturday, the Minister Energy and Petroleum, Emmanuel Armah Kofi Buah and the Chief Executive of the National Petroleum Authority (NPA), Moses Asaga visited depots in Tema to ascertain the situation with the bulk supplies at the storage depots. At the time of their visit, more than one million litres of petrol had been discharged for onward distribution to the market. By close of day Saturday, a total of three million litres of fuel had been discharged to the retail stations. This will continue even on Sunday through to Monday until product supplies to all retail outlets have improved. The Authority has assured the general public that the joint Police and NPA task force are still on the move and any retail station caught hording fuel products would be sanctioned according to the laws of the land.
