Unite NPP Before Criticizing Govt Felix To Nana Addo

Government has urged the two-time presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Akufo-Addo to solve the seeming rift in his party before criticizing the leadership style of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC). Nana Addo in an address to the UK branch of the NPPs monthly public meeting on Sunday in Wood Green, London stated that the country is retrogressing under the current government due to poor economic management. He said: It seems whatever the President touches turns into dust. This is, indeed, an era of retrogression. Everything about Ghana appears to be going backwards. A Deputy Information Minister, Felix Kwakye Ofosu in response said the Nana Addo failed to proffer solutions to the nations problems after criticizing the government. The unfortunate thing about Nana Addos intervention is that, once again, he failed to project himself as a clear alternative. He failed to articulate clearly what he will do differently beyond lamenting, he said. The Deputy Minister mentioned that although there Ghanaians are experiencing challenges with the economy, government has instituted some measures to resolve them. Mr. Kwakye Ofosu was of the opinion that Nana Addo should have taken the opportunity to dwell on what he will do differently in the unlikely event that he is elected President of the Republic of GhanaI am quite disappointed. He chastised the NPP stalwart for failing to ensure unity within the NPP and urged him to put his house in order before criticizing governments management style. I am quite surprised that he will not focus attention towards repairing the deep seated rifts in his party because if you cannot put your own house in order, how then do you purport to move on to manage the affairs of the country, he remarked.
